Kākāpō feather earrings in Rimu wood. The earrings are laser cut in our own stylised feather design and are hand painted in green and pale yellow. The hooks are stainless steel and the feathers are approx. 40mm long.
The New Zealand Kākāpo is the heaviest parrot in the world weighing up to 4kg. They are also nocturnal and flightless and critically endangered. The 2026 breeding season has been very successful with the population rising to over 300.
While the earrings are finished with beeswax they are not designed to be worn swimming or in the shower.
